How many people can use my Kabata AI dumbbells under my subscription?

Up to 5 people per household can use the same set of dumbbells, all under a single Kabata AI subscription, at the discounted pre-order price.

Does Kabata work on both iOS and Android?

Yes! The Kabata AI app will be released to both iOS and Android.

Where in the house should I keep my Kabata adjustable dumbbells?

The Kabata dumbbells were designed to be space-saving, compact, and functional for all spaces. Keep them in a bedroom, home gym, office -- wherever you find yourself getting your workout in.

Will I need Bluetooth or Wi-Fi to operate the unit?

Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are required to connect the dumbbells with the Kabata mobile app. However, you are able to still use the dumbbells on their own if connectivity isn’t available.

Do I need a smartphone to use it?

While basic functions such as weight adjustment do not require the Kabata app, the app is recommended for the best user experience. The Kabata app is available for iOS only.

Does Kabata have to be plugged in to work?

While anywhere you have an outlet is ideal to keep the dumbbells charged, Kabata does not need to be plugged in while in use.

Will Kabata work with my power outlet?

Kabata is designed for standard US wall outlets. To ensure an uninterrupted experience, it should be plugged into a dedicated outlet for optimal performance.

How much space does a Kabata unit take up?

The entire Kabata unit takes up less than 2 x 2 sq. ft. of space, combining 12 sets of dumbbells in an incredibly compact design.

How many workout moves come loaded on the Kabata app?

The Kabata app will have over 50 unique dumbbell moves at launch. Our goal is to continue to build out our workout library and get to over 200 moves!

What is the difference between Kabata’s AI-powered dumbbells and other adjustable dumbbells on the market?

Kabata’s dumbbells are in a league of their own. They're the only ones that use AI to tailor, analyze, and perfect every workout, coaching you to the results you desire. Additionally, Kabata's automatic weight change, haptic feedback, advanced analytics, velocity-based training (VBT), and all-in-one sleek design also add to its uniqueness.

What are the dumbbells made of?

The dumbbells are predominantly composed of iron, which drives the weight of the product. These iron plates are covered in a premium overmold, allowing the dumbbells to slide in and out of the base smoothly.

Where is Kabata manufactured?

Kabata is produced in partnership with top manufacturers in Asia, who specialize in high-quality consumer products.

Will Kabata offer a warranty on my dumbbell purchase?

Yes, Kabata will offer a 1-year limited warranty.

How long does warranty coverage last?

The Warranty Period lasts for 1 year (365 days) from the date your dumbbells are delivered.

What does this warranty cover?

During the Warranty Period, if the original manufacture of the material or workmanship of the Product is determined to be defective by Kabata or an authorized Kabata repair center, Kabata will (at its sole option): (1) repair the Product with new or rebuilt parts; or (2) replace the Product at no charge with new or rebuilt comparable products or parts. Products and parts replaced under this warranty become the property of Kabata and will not be returned to the original Kabata purchaser. This warranty lasts as long as the original Kabata purchaser owns their Kabata Product during the Warranty Period. Warranty coverage terminates if the original Kabata purchaser sells or otherwise transfers the Product.

Where is the warranty valid?

This warranty is valid only in the United States to the original Kabata purchaser.

What does the warranty not cover?

This warranty does not cover: cosmetic damage; damage due to weather, lightning, and other acts of God, such as power surges; accidental damage; misuse; abuse; negligence; commercial purposes/use, including but not limited to use in a place of business or in communal areas of a multiple dwelling condominium or apartment complex, or otherwise used in a place other than a private home; modification of any part of the Product; display damage caused by static (non-moving) images applied for lengthy periods (burn-in); damage due to incorrect operation or maintenance; connection to an incorrect voltage or power supply; attempted repair by any person not authorized by Kabata to service the Product; consumables, including but not limited to batteries; Products where the factory applied serial number has been altered or removed; loss or theft of this Product or any part of the Product; display panels containing up to three (3) pixel failures (dots that are dark or incorrectly illuminated) grouped in an area smaller than one tenth (1/10) of the display size or up to five (5) pixel failures throughout the display (pixel-based displays may contain a limited number of pixels that may not function normally); failures or damage caused by any contact including but not limited to liquids, gels or pastes.

When will I receive my Kabata Al dumbbells?

Kabata pre-orders are scheduled to be shipped in Fall 2024.

Do you ship outside the US?

We are not shipping outside the US at this time, but we do hope to expand internationally soon.

Do the dumbbells come in different colors?

Currently, the Kabata dumbbells only come in black. Stay tuned for more colors soon!

What's in the box?

Included are the Kabata AI dumbbells, base, power cord, and phone stand.

Can I cancel my pre-order?

At Kabata, we value your satisfaction and strive to ensure that our products meet your expectations. If you have pre-ordered Kabata Dumbbells and wish to cancel your order, you are entitled to a full refund, less shipping costs, provided that you request this cancellation within 30 days of placing your pre-order. To initiate the cancellation and process your refund, please reach out to our Support Team within this 30-day period.

Note that this policy is applicable only if the cancellation request is made within 30 days of the pre-order date and before the shipment of the Kabata Dumbbells has commenced. Beyond this 30-day window or once the shipment process has started, we may not provide you a refund, and only the standard Post-Delivery Return Policy will apply. However, if you reach out to, we will consider in good faith any special circumstances that may exist.

When will my pre-order be charged to my credit card?

Your pre-order will be charged immediately upon completion of the order process.

When will my subscription be charged to my credit card?

Monthly subscriptions will be charged following your 30-day free trial, unless you opt out before your trial ends. Annual and lifetime subscriptions will be charged upfront at purchase. Your subscription term will not begin until either your dumbbells have been activated or 7 days following delivery, whichever occurs first.

When your subscription term ends, your subscription will automatically renew until cancelled.

Do I need a subscription to use the Kabata dumbbells?

A subscription is required to use the Kabata AI iOS app alongside the dumbbells, with access to exclusive features, including AI-powered coaching, workout content, haptic feedback, and real-time analytics. The subscription can be shared by multiple members within a household. If there is no active subscription, the dumbbells can still be used on their own but without any of the advanced features, analytics, coaching or workout content.

Will sales tax be applied?

Yes, sales tax is applied based on the state from where your dumbbells are purchased, if applicable. However, oftentimes if you're one of the first few orders in a given state, you actually will NOT have to pay any sales tax at all on your purchase - yet another reason to pre-order Kabata sooner than later!

Do I have to pay for shipping?

Nope! If you order a Kabata, we'll cover your shipping expenses! :)
